APTLD Board Meeting Communiqué (17 July 2020)

On 17 July 2020, the APTLD Board held a regular teleconference meeting and considered a range
of matters. A summary of the Meeting is published in this Communiqué.


Preparations for APTLD78

The Board received a
GM’s update on the matter noted with satisfaction that registrations for the
Meeting and its individual sessions are gaining momentum.

Preparations for APTLD79-81

The Board received a
GM’s update on the matter and noted with satisfaction that preparations are
well on track and further developments will depend on the situation with the
COVID19 pandemic

Progress in Development of the APTLD.org Website

The Board discussed a GM’s
update and once again reviewed a beta version of the Website and noted a
significant progress in its development. The Board made a due notice of the
website submission deadline being 31 July 2020.

Consideration of the IThreat’s Application for
Associate Membership in APTLD

The Board reviewed the
applications and had a GM’s update on the matter and concluded that it is
eligible for Associate Membership in APTLD and unanimously voted for its
admission to the Association.

State and Execution of the 2020 APTLD Budget

The Board received a
GM’s update on the matter and noted with much satisfaction that it is in line
with the original projections.

Consideration of the Proposal to Transit to an
E-Voting System

The Board discussed the
GM’s proposal to replace the current email ballot-based system with a cloud-based
online voting system and selected Opavote.com as a new electoral vehicle for
APTLD.

The Board also
considered a number of other administrative matters.
